Installation of solar panels

The expansion of renewable energy capacity must be accelerated to meet the climate targets set out in the Paris Agreement, and we at Oetinger are ready to play our part. By the end of 2022, we aim to install 1,800 m2 of solar panels on all our suitable roofs at our plant in Weißenhorn. With an output of over 350 kW, we will produce almost 400 MWh of renewable electricity each year. With an output of over 350 kWp, we will produce almost 400 MWh of renewable electricity every year. At the site in Neu-Ulm, we are commissioning 1,230 kWp (approx. 5,779 m²) in the first construction phase and 540 kWp (approx. 2,545 m²) in the second construction phase. All the electricity will be consumed directly on site, where we will adapt our processes to the electricity production and thus reduce the demand for electricity from the grid at peak times. For the future, we plan to use wind turbines and battery systems and work towards the goal of electricity self-sufficiency.
